There will be 3 – 4 beach set ups for you to choose from along with various beach set up accessories.

We have modified the photography packages to just include the basic bare minimums as well as still carrying the elite, deluxe photography packages.

Minister services have been reduced to $350 to officiate over your most memorable day.  Saving you lots of money over the competition.

An alternative to the Photo booth and a little less expensive, where you have a real person taking your pictures instead of a machine.  You get instant printing on location, your guests get 4×6 prints instead a small strip of images, and you still get an album at the end of the night.

You still can have fun, crazy shots but in addition to the fun crazy shots, your guest will have some really nice images helped posed up by your photographer, and printed out that same evening, for them to have at home or at the office.

Typically the way it works is, the photographer shows up, finds a nice spot for picture taking, using the surroundings as a backdrop, or if the area does not have a good background, we can bring along a background to suit the wedding.

We bring our printer, a commercial type printer that prints out 4x6s in seconds.

And we bring either a 100 count album or 200 count album depending on the number of guests, and when we print out the images for your guests, we print out doubles for your album to take home with you at the end of the night.

Thinking about time lines and how long you might like us there, you can think of us like a regular photo booth, and when you are due to be announced in or ready to start your reception, is when we can start with taking photos of you and your guests.

One of the benefits too of having us as your live mobile photo booth, we can snap some photos of the happy wedding couple during the evening and add them to your photo album.  We would want to work alongside your existing wedding photographer, or if you use us as your photographer for your wedding, we can add all kinds of photos to your take home wedding album the day of your wedding.  This way you have an album that same day and not weeks or months later.

All your images will be put online in your own personal gallery so if you or your guests want to print out additional prints or have enlargements made you can after your wedding.

I heard this said, “it’s one of the best kept secret location in Delaware”  and I can see why.  While playing learning with Donna’s group, I was invited to this wedding venue called “Lavender Fields” and I didn’t have much going on at the time so I said “Sure I’ll go”, and I’m super glad I did.

This two acre farm is not your typical farm, when I hear farm I’m thinking of raising chickens, cows, farm animals, but nope they people grow and raise lavender and they do it good.  It wasn’t quite the time of year when everything was in bloom, but I can really see the potential.

Donna’s group of event planners incorporated lunch there at the farm and where I had a chance to meet the owners, they had the most pleasant atmosphere for an afternoon discussion.  The women who run this farm are some of the nicest women you will ever meet.

If you are looking to get married here, they pointed out that there were many different spots one could get married.   On two acres of land you can have a tent put up and the beautiful smell of lavender would fill the air around you making for a memorable wedding day.  I would think that getting married here, and smelling of lavender on your wedding day, that every day after that, if you were to smell it, all kinds of memories and thoughts would come flooding back.

They have a really neat maze that they constructed that is pretty cool and a lot of couples like to get married right there on the maze spot.  When I heard maze I was thinking of the hedge kind that you can get lost in, but this is made with bricks and stone and you don’t have to worry about getting lost in.  Getting married right on that spot would be something you won’t ever forget.  It’s so lovely.

This event venue not only caters to weddings but also to artists, photographers, and many others who like to come to the lavender farm and just relax.  It is without a doubt a peaceful location and if you had stress before you arrived there, you would be leaving stress free.  They also have a shop on the farm that sells many lavender type items as well as many hand crafted things.  Everything is reasonably priced and they have something for everyone I’m sure.

Some of the cool things about this venue is that is right a wine vineyard, and for those into wine drinking and tasting it’s definitely the right place to be.  They offer wine tasting there, and Peggy is like an expert on wine, so if you are like me and you enjoy wine but don’t know much about it and you want to, she’s the one to talk to. 

This venue not only caters to weddings but to all kinds of life events like birthdays, corporate events, holiday parties, etc.  They are getting so popular they are expanding and constructing a whole new building that is twice the size of their other building and is able to be divided if needed into two separate venues.  So if you are thinking having a wedding at Nassau Valley Vineyards and you are afraid it might be already booked, or you think it might not hold a few hundred guests, now you know they can definitely accommodate you. 

It was nice to know they when it comes to catering there on the property and for your wedding or event, they have a list of various vendors that have all been interviewed and had various credentials checked.  They like to have only the best, licensed, bonded, and insured event caterers there for your special occasion. 

As we know most weddings happen in the summer I would not count out a fall wedding as the changing of the leaves is so beautiful there.  And if you have the time, you can get married at the vineyards, and then drive to the beach and get some beautiful photos there, and your guests can relax and enjoy the wine, and as close as the beach is, you’ll be back in no time flat.

•             Each applicant must show a valid photo ID. The ID may be a driver’s license; a State issued ID card, a passport or a military ID.

•             You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a marriage license. If either applicant is under the age of 18, they are considered minors, and must petition Family Court for authorization to marry. You can call (302) 856-5601for guidance and information.

•             Applicants may not be related to each other.

•             Applicants may not be of the same sex.

•             Applicants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

•             If a female applicant is divorced and has legally reclaimed her maiden name, bring the original, true copy or certified copy of the name change court papers. A photocopy is not acceptable.

•             If both applicants have been married and the marriage was terminated by divorce, bring the last divorce decree. It must be signed by a fudge and bear a seal indicating that it is the original, true copy or certified copy. A photocopy is not acceptable.

•             If either applicant has been married and the marriage was terminated by death, bring the original, true copy or certified copy of the death certificate. A photocopy is not acceptable.

•             If either applicant is on probation/parole, bring written permission to marry from their probation or parole officer.

•             If either applicant requires an interpreter, they must bring their own interpreter. The interpreter must be at least eighteen years of age.

•             The marriage license is valid for 30 days. It must be used in that time period. It is only valid in the State of Delaware.

•             After the license is issued, there is a 24-hour waiting period for all applicants. This applies to both resident and non-resident applicants.

There are now 3 new beach setups for 2010 a perfect add on to any Beach Wedding Package.  If you are getting married on Maryland or Delaware beaches and would like a little something extra to make that wedding a little more magicial, adding on a beach setup is the way to go.  With various different archways and configurations, we have all you might need to make that wedding on the beach fantastic.

Some of the new features that are not showed in these photos, are the new seat covers and we’ve added on beach grass to line the walk way.

I tend to hear that from time to time and when I do hear it, it always makes me laugh a little inside and worry at the same time.  I think to myself that some brides may not want beautiful images of their wedding or they may not care too much about it, because if they did they wouldn’t trust their friend who, chances are, they are not a professional photographer.  More than likely they bought a $600 camera and took a few photos of their trip to where ever and they have never photographed a wedding. 

There is a lot that goes into being a professional beach photographer at a person’s wedding, there is experience you need to keep you ahead of the game and makes you ready for the awesome shot.  There are skills that you acquire from continuous shooting and classes that you attend to keep that skill up.  A pro wouldn’t have a camera you’d buy in Wal-Mart or Best buy, they would have spent a couple of thousand I’m sure. 

Even though I consider myself mechanically inclined, when I have car issues, I take it straight to the dealer or a qualified mechanic.  Same thing applies if I wanted the roof on my house repaired, I would contact a licensed carpenter so I can have to job done right the first time.  With the wedding supposed to be once in a lifetime event for you, magical and memorable, how will you look back on the memories, by looking at your photos.  To me that seems important, not something I would just trust anyone with.  Another good way of thinking about it, If your friend watches a lot of Discovery Health on TV and owns “some” surgical tools, would you let that person operate on you?

Oh god I hope not, I’d go find me a doctor with education and years of experience. 

Having been to one too many weddings, I can see that a wedding is like an orchestra.  Every professional is there to do their part and without each one, your wedding could be out of sync. 

To have a reception you should have a Disc Jockey, you can’t really have a good party without one.  I’ve seen weddings without them and I’ve seen those receptions suffer. 

You can’t get married without a wedding minister or officiant, they are pretty important and hard to get married without one. 

Wedding planners, personally I would go with one of these all the time.  They help run the show so you don’t have to.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen the bride or groom running around trying to put out fires or do things they shouldn’t be doing because they don’t have anyone else to do it for them.  It’s the couples celebration and they should be relaxing and having fun. 

Photographers and Videographers, these are your record keepers.  These are the people the capture all the memories of this most important day.  As I have touch on photographers, Videographers are just as equally important that get over looked.  Can you imagine going to a movie to see, Spider Man for example.  What if you sit down in your seat with your popcorn and you look up at the screen and you see images of spider-man.  For an entire hour, you see cool image, after cool photo of spider man and all the cool things he is doing.  After an hour or so, it’s over, and you leave, but all you saw were images and photos, not a movie.  Video brings you into the story in a way that photos can’t.  You can look at a photo and you can get a flash of a memory that is brought on by that image, but when you watch a movie it allows you to relive that memory and you began to see things you might have missed or might have forgotten. 

I could go on listing various wedding professionals and their key roles they play, but I’m sure you will have gotten the point by now. 

Allow the professionals to do what they do best so that you don’t have to worry and enjoy that celebration of love.
